A. The Ridley CVT transmission includes three components; the clutch, the driven unit, and the transmission belt. Service is required at every oil change (2000 miles). For instructions on maintaining your transmission, view the pdf. (Service & Maintenance Guide pages 11-17.)

Q. LCD Speedometer (YM 1999 - 2005)- How do I change the battery and re-calibrate my speedometer?  
A. Early model Ridley Motorcycles were built with an LCD (liquid crystal display) speedometer that runs off its own battery which is a very common type available at most places where batteries are sold. For instructions on maintaining your speedometer, view the pdf. (Service Manual pages 24-25.)  
     
Q. Ridley's 750 V-Twin Engine- What is required for an oil change?  
A. Changing the oil requires 1 3/4 quarts of Mobil One 10W-30 synthetic oil and the K&N oil filter for Ridley (Buy a Filter).  
     
Q. Is there a Service Manual available?  
A. Ridley recommends the Service & Maintence Guide for the DIY Ridley Owner. It outlines many of the regular services and provides an overview of the service requirements. The Service & Maintenance Guide may be purchased through any Ridley Dealer or on the Ridley Online Store (Buy the Service & Maintenance Guide). A complete Service Manual is expected to be available by the summer of 2008.
